We recommend a home owner to have their gas fireplace serviced at least once a year for moderate to heavy use. This will keep your unit running smoothly during our winter months when you need it most. Our cleanings and service set the standard; we go above and beyond what others do. Attention to detail is what we do, ensuring that when we are done your fireplace is sparkling clean and running at its best.
Wood fireplaces and stoves are recommended to have a chimney sweep yearly for regular to heavy users. Having your chimney sweep in the spring and summer months will prepare your fireplace for the fall and winter. During a sweep we will do a visual inspection and advise if we notice any concerns, this does not replace the WETT certification but can help you be aware of any potential issues.

This is an inspection report for wood burning fireplaces only. These reports are used to verify that your wood burning fireplace is up to code for insurance purposes. Our technician is WETT Certified and so is our installer, we feel this is very important for the integrity of installations and overall safety for the use of wood burning units. These inspections are a full multi page report showing that the fireplace meets code compliance, should there be an issue we will advise and quote necessary repairs.
Buyer be ware! If you are selling or buying a home that contains a wood burning fireplace, we highly recommend having this report done prior to selling or buying.
Sellers - we recommend having a WETT report done before listing your house. Here's why, when a potential buyer comes and you can showcase your wood burning fireplace this can help to promote your sale. Showing that you have done your due diligence to ensure that your fireplace is code complaint for a new family can go along way in completing a sale.
Buyers - booking a company like Apex for a WETT Certification for a home you are looking at purchasing can ensure you are obtaining services from someone that knows installations as well as proper code compliance. We have the years of experience backing us, so we can spot concerns where others might miss. Plus we know and understand the value in any required work giving you insight into potential costly repairs before they happen.
this is a common question we get asked. We recommend a sweep at least once a year for moderate to heavy use. We do the majority of our sweeps between April and September, so booking early is recommended.
